Running
"I have run thousands of miles in countless places during my lifetime and I can honestly say that The Old Mill House offers some of the most picturesque running trails in the world.
The quaint B & B is just a mile from the entrance to Shenandoah National Park which offers shade, covered, wood chipped trails with cold mountain streams beckoning after your run. There are also challenging paved mountain roads as well as gently rolling roads in the valley which offer multiple levels of difficulty for the avid runner or walker.

After a grueling run slong the rugged terrain, your body is able to quickly recover with an incredible massage given by the massage therapist at The Old Mill House. I have trained in many states and countries and I cannot think of a better place to come for a week or two to train for a marathon since it has everything to offer. Truly a runner's paradise!"

Porch Sittin’
Guests can enjoy a relaxing day on the back porch.

On the front porch, great grandmother’s wicker settee from the 1940’s awaits yet another couple. A rock propping the leg and many layers of paint seem to be the only thing holding it together. If it could only talk!
