Open and inviting, richly steeped in tradition, The Old Mill House Bed & Breakfast takes you far beyond the ordinary wedding. 

The day of your dreams deserves the most romantic vista marked by lush natural beauty.  Four acres, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains with a stream running through the property and the Rapidan River meandering along the front, provide more than ample space for the ceremony, reception, caterers and parking.

The possibilities for stunning wedding photography are virtually endless on the grounds of this historic late 18th century home.  For sheer drama, one of the favorite photo spots is the open field with the mountains in the background.

For something more intimate, the mixture of stone and weathered wood down at the gristmill provide an old-fashioned setting.  

Or a whimsical shot on the wooden foot bridge crossing the old mill stream.  Catching the perfect setting of the sun creekside adds to the list of endless possibilities to preserve memories of your special day.

The screened back porch is a great place for the bride and her attendants to share a glass of champagne and snacks while applying last-minute touches such as make-up, hair styling and manicures/pedicures  And, oh, wonderful massages to relieve those pre-wedding jitters.

Use the clotheslines to hang photos of the bride and groom from earlier years and also to hang lanterns for a unique and dramatic touch.

Whether you choose to say your vows under the pear tree, or in the front yard or another magnificent venue, anything you envision can come true.

For classic elegance, plan your wedding at The Old Mill House Bed & Breakfast where a llifetime of memories will begin. We will be happy to work with you should you need local sources for catering etc.

Site Fees: (Rehearsal included.)

  • Up to 50 people             $   500
  • Up to 100 people           $1,000
  • Up to 150 people           $1,500
  • Up to 200 people           $2,000

Bed and Breakfast Fee: $500.00

  • Exclusive use of the B&B for two nights.
  • Includes full breakfasts
  • One hour massage for bride and groom
  • Bridal party may use facility for dressing
